Ninja Life Hacks Books Review

A while ago I found myself looking for ways to help my oldest kid concentrate when doing school work. It seems that for this little guy the requirement of about 30 minutes of class or a 2 page assigment was a lot to ask. Doing a quick search on the internet I found that the normal attention span of a 6 year old is about 12-18 minutes. No wonder it can be a real struggle to concentrate when doing work. He also has ADHD, which provided new challenges for the little one.

I looked for a few options and came across a book called “Focused Ninja” which was recommended online as a good choice for kids with ADHD. This book explained how keeping an organzed area and breaking large tasks into smaller ones helps kids through some of the strugles they encounter. It provided very useful tips to focus, in a very simple way. The ninja was an honest, likeable character kids can identify with and the book was an easy read overall. Perfect for 5-7 year olds, at about 0-4 sentences per page and an 28 pages.

The book is part of a series of called “Ninja Life Hacks” by author Mary Nihn that includes a long list of books dedicated to help kids with their strugles. You know, all those BIG little problems we encounter while living the adventure that it is to walk around giants that speak a language we don’t quite understand yet and strolling through the paths full of new things every day. With books like “Hangry Ninja”, “Calm Ninja”, “Patient Ninja”, “Confident Ninja” and a very important in current times “Masked Ninja”, this series contains great book options for kids. So much so I decided to get a couple of the Box sets available and my kids have loved reading these books.

I definetely recommend checking out this book series and specially the book “Focused Ninja” for any parents with a kid who has ADHD. Also for kids 5-9 year olds, I think some of these books could be a good gift. You can find them in Amazon or their website.
