Hi, my name is Jess. I am an engineer, a nerd, and a mom, amongst other things.  I decided to start this blog to get back into an old hobby. When I was a kid I used to write often. I had a bitacora, which I used to record the many adventures of discovering the world around me. I also used to write to people from around the world to learn about them and their traditions. This was back, when we would mail letters out and had to wait for months to get a response. After a while, I realized the amazing power of sharing stories, sharing experiences, and even opinions. This was such an amazing gift, and it impacted my life in a very positive way.

As a nerd, a mom, and a science enthusiast, I decided I wanted to share about the incredible adventures of geek parenting and the joys of being part of the nerd community as an adult. I plan to share about Comic Conventions, geek parenting, science and culture, books, and the many aspects of pop culture that we enjoy so much. I also hope to learn more from others who may share the same interests and/or who may have different perspectives. With any luck, these stories will enrich at least one life and allow for a sort of camaraderie to flourish among all readers.
